HackThisSite is experiencing a bit of a developer shortage lately. There has been considerable drama in the ranks of the administration in the past few weeks, but it has since subsided. Unfortunately, that drama trickled down into the ranks of the developers, so a few of them have left us for good. As such, we're looking for additional help to get going again.
If you'd like to be a developer and feel as though you have the experience necessary with respect to PHP, MySQL, XHTML, and CSS, email devs [at] hackthissite [dot] org with examples of your work, code samples, and any relevant formal education or job training you have had in these languages. Former developers and administrators who are genuinely interested in contributing are also invited to apply.
I would like to be able to help, but unfortunately I can't guarantee that I will always be available, as I'm not always online.
But still, a message to all developers, if you need anything done, and I am able to help, I'll try my best do so.
This site has taught me a lot, its time I gave something back.
This portal is very interesting and since I'm currently performing an assesment for one of our customers I think it can be taken into account for a further "realistic mission". ;-) I'll let you know...
Well.... while I lack MySQL skills, I can help with the rest. I could also help with creating new missions. I've tried making app missions in the past, but when compiling with DOS into EXE, they could be solved by looking at the temp files, they wouldn't compile into COM files, and finally compiling with C made the passwords plainly visible in notepad. However, I just sent a new stego mission to comperr yesterday. No reply yet, but hopefully he'll login soon. Im sorry to hear most of the devs left, I knew quite a lot of them back in the day. Is that why Liuyuan and Agentsteal are gone? Anyway, I'd be happy to lend my time to help out HTS. I might send you guys an email, but I dont know if I have enough time to be a full-fledged dev. Either way, Im happy to help out any way I can. :)
